Experiences of Devotees

This incidence took place on January 2^nd 1998, at Chicago, Illinois, (USA) .There was and extra-ordinary Snow –Strom in the city (18 inches snow in 24 hrs.) All the roads were paralyzed. There was no food in the house, so I had to drive out with my son jayaratna (then aged 3.5 yrs) for Grocery. Some –how we went to the store, and just when we were coming back home. My Car got stuck in the snow. I tried my best to get the Car out of the snow. But all my efforts were in vain. Finally I decided to drop my son home. As soon as I entered the Car, my son Jay told me, “Daddy, Baba just now talked to me and said, don’t worry, I am coming to help you!” He was pointing to Baba’s (H. H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj) photo in my Car, I saw an American person trying to pull out my car from the backside. Within no time, he pulled my car out of two feet deep snow. I thanked him and in turn he said that he had enjoyed helping me.

 After some time, I pondered that where form had this person come? In such a Snow –blizzard, no one dared to venture out on the streets. Another astonishing fact was, how had this person helped me, and without even asking me to do so, which is very strange in the U.S. to help anybody without seeking prior consent. Also, within no time my car had been pulled out of snow and I was safe back home. My son was very right to say that ‘BABA’ is great. He is always with us and he takes care of us all, everywhere and all the moments of our lives.

This incidence took place on Dec. the 15th 1999,at Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A. We, as a family have a habit of speaking with Photos of Param Pujya BABA (Bhaktaraj Maharaj) and Param Pujya DADA (Ramanand Maharaj)
We all gather near out “Dewara” and tell BABA all the things that we have done in the whole day. We have this feeling that BABA listens to out talk and speaks back to us though our ‘ANTARMANA’.
One this particular night, after our prayers, I asked my son Jayaratna that What did BABA say to you today?” To my surprise my son replied,” Daddy , BABA told me that you will buy a new car very soon.” I reconfirmed with ‘Jay’ and he was very sure that yes, Baba had told him exactly like that. (Two days later, we were supposed to leave for California for vacations) Next day in the office, BABA told me to ask my wife Smita, not to pick me at the Railway Station, as she usually did every evening. I duly called her at home and told her not to bother to come and pick me up. My wife also had a feeling that BABA had told her not to drive out that evening. But somehow, she went for a drive that day and had met with an accident. Due to slight snow, she could not stop at a particular point and was hit by a speeding Van. Our Car was damaged very badly but my wife and son were absolutely unhurt. BABA had duly forewarned us, and given the signal ahead of time and had even reduced the impact of this (otherwise very bad) accident.
Eventually, I had to buy a new Car (Honda Accord) as my earlier car (Toyota Celica) was damaged beyond repairs. What BABA had told ‘Jay’ that night turned out to be true; we had to buy a new car very soon.

Answers to Questions of Mr. Prabhat Kumar by shri Param Pujya Bhaktaraj Maharaj at Indore. on August the 7th ,1995.

Q.1 Can we see God in everything? Is it possible? If so, how to go for it? Clue.
Ans. God would appear to those whom he wants. If you want that you should see, He appears . It is one’s own fortune and KARMA.

Q.2.How to keep myself silent?
Ans. Silence is inside, hidden, of God.

Q3. I am not able to increase the pace of Namasmaran. Suggestions for improvement.
Ans. My work is to see that you do Namasmaran. You start, I will do. You get God’s name by Guru’s Grace.

Q4. What is it that pleases the Guru the most? And how should I go about to please my Guru?
Ans. Do Namajapa. That alone can make me happy.

Q.5. Any other instructions to me for my spiritual progress? What am I to do now?
Ans. Don’t think of future. Think of present. I am your Guru. I will remind you from inside.

H. H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj’s omni words on 10th Feb,1995,between 11.30 P.M. to 2.30 A.M. ( A continuous talk by Maharaj)

Baba spoke continuously for four hours in Marathi. We were overwhelmed and stunned. Any person ,who could be so clear about any subject, at the age of 75 and could talk for such a long time (non –stop) ,could not certainly be an ordinary one. I felt that we were lucky to hear his omni words. As human mind which is weak in grasping, is certainly poor in retaining too!
Hence this jotting of words as I understood :-

1) In Turiya state, there are no He and I’s. It is only one. Even when I am operating at gross level ,my SUKSHMA SHARIRA is in continuous contact with NAMASMARAN. It is endless, continuous, without any break. This is what my Guru did. He started it fourty years ago and I continue to be in the same state.

2) Whatever Guru gives out of sheer compassion (REHAM), may withdraw it, if the person who enjoys the grace, becomes egoistic. You can, however, tie your Master with NAMSMARANA which is a permanent link. He can never forsake you, come what way. You have a right to ask for anything, and Guru is obliged to fulfill it.
3) Sadguru is full of compassion to others. Even when he punishes you, it is only compassion (Karuna).
4) Ultimate feature of NAMSMARANA is NAM-VISMARAN (forgetting the name). you become one with the NAMA. There is no duality.
5) Guru can give DIKSHA in any manner. There are no levels in DIKSHA.


It can be HASTA, NETRA, VICHARA etc. Once he utters NAMAJAPA in the devotees ears, it transfers lot of energy from him. The devotee can bind him permanently, by repeating the NAMA with SHRADDHA.

6) Swami Muktananda met me at Vajreshwari, I asked him “Are You Happy?” He replied “As well as you are” His method of Shaktipata is also a mode of Diksha. He has lot of followers all over the world.
7) I have taught through Bhajans. I used to sing for more than eight hours at a stretch, and during my Bhajans, not even Maharajas, top businessmen got up once, such is the power of Bhajan.
8) My Guru taught me in Silence. I was with him physically only for a year and a half. And throughout this period, he might have talked to me for a maximum of half an hour. However, he guided me internally. He used to reply all my queries in the inner realm.
9) My Guru has been extremely kind. Who can get such a Master? He made me ‘BHAKTARAJ’ He once said that, Bhaktaraj is not Mad, but he will make the whole world Mad and will make it run after him. And see, what has happened?

10) Real GURUSEVA is remembrance of Guru (NAMAJAPA). Forget your bodily wants, leave it to PRARABDHA. Give your mind to CHINTA(enquiry or meditation).
